Is your litigation practice group wondering about the future? Curious about trends affecting litigation? Want to know the inside scoop on the in-house counsel's perspective? The largest survey of corporate law departments, Fulbright & Jaworski's 6th Annual Litigation Trends Survey Report, is set to be released on October 15. Building on the success and insights of previous surveys, Fulbright & Jaworski have queried public and private companies in the US and UK for their perspectives on US and global litigation forecasts and current-year trends.
Some highlights from the 2008 report:
- Survey questions included open-ended responses for narrative and a wider perspective.
- Responses are combined for an overall picture, as well as broken into practice areas and some industry-specific data is given.
- Litigation spending is analyzed, and there is a section devoted to e-discovery.
- The 2008 survey queried law departments in the US and UK, with a total of 358 responses, 251 of them from US-based counsel.
The release of the 2009 survey report will be followed by a free webinar on November 3, which is now accepting registrations. 1 CLE credit will be available.
